Role Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Estimator to join our team. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate costings and quotations for building, refurbishment and maintenance projects across residential, commercial and public-sector contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across construction, maintenance and refurbishment projects

  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and scopes of work to assess labour, material and time requirements

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and maintain pricing databases

  • Work closely with the operations and project delivery teams to ensure smooth handover and commercial alignment

  • Support bid strategy, value engineering options and pricing adjustments for commercial advantage

  • Attend site visits and client meetings to better understand project conditions and logistical considerations

  • Track and monitor live tenders, submission deadlines and win/loss feedback for continuous improvement

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an estimating or quantity surveying role within construction or building services

  • Strong understanding of commercial and residential construction methods and pricing principles

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tender packages and specification documents

  • Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software (e.g., ConQuest, Causeway or similar)

  • Excellent numerical, analytical and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously

  • Team player who collaborates well with colleagues, clients and supply chain partners
