Role Overview

The successful candidate will complete passive-fire-protection and carpentry works to project surveys, schedules and specifications; maintain high workmanship, safety and site documentation; and communicate clearly with supervisors, clients and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire door installations, repairs and remedial works.

  • Complete fire stopping works in accordance with project requirements.

  • Undertake general carpentry and associated building works.

  • Inspect fire doors and identify required remedial actions.

  • Install or replace hinges, closers, seals, locks and other fire door components.

  • Work from fire door surveys, schedules and specifications.

  • Record completed work accurately, including photographic evidence.

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and site cleanliness.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients and other site operatives.

  • Travel between projects across London and the South of England, including locations up to Milton Keynes.

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Previous experience in fire door installation and remedial works.

  • Strong carpentry and joinery skills.

  • Experience with passive fire protection or fire stopping works.

  • Understanding of fire door components and installation requirements.

  • Ability to interpret surveys, schedules and technical information.

  • Good attention to detail and quality of finish.

  • Confident working independently and as part of a wider project team.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

  • Relevant fire door, carpentry or passive fire protection qualifications desirable.
