Role Overview
The Premises Manager is responsible for managing the overall condition, safety, and compliance of one or more buildings under our care. This includes scheduling maintenance, managing contractors, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed, and responding to urgent issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain the safety, cleanliness, and compliance of the premises
Plan and schedule regular maintenance, inspections and servicing
Liaise with contractors and in-house teams for repairs and upgrades
Manage site access, security systems, and emergency protocols
Maintain accurate records of works, inspections, and compliance reports
Carry out basic maintenance and respond to minor faults where required
Ensure waste management, heating, lighting and site utilities are operating effectively
Skills & Experience Needed
Previous experience in premises or facilities management
Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance processes, and compliance standards
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage contractors
Basic IT literacy (e.g. using maintenance software or email)
Relevant trade skills or qualifications are a bonus
